PERANCANGAN PUSAT KONVENSI DAN PAMERAN DI KABUPATEN BULELENG

Abstract

MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Conference, Exhibition) tourism plays a strategic role in boosting the national economy. Buleleng Regency, Bali, is striving to enhance its MICE tourism potential to boost the local economy. Currently, Buleleng has local facilities such as Sesana Budaya Building, Gde Manik Art Building, and City Park Building. However, a national-level convention center is needed to accommodate MICE activities. A new convention center is planned to be built on Jalan Raya Cekik Seririt Singaraja, with an area of 10,725 m2 and a total building area of 16,659 m2, spanning 3 floors. With a neo-vernacular theme and communicative-commercial concept, the design program and concept include functional programs, spatial programs, site planning, structure, utilities, outdoor spaces, lighting, and transportation systems. Thus, Buleleng is expected to enhance its MICE tourism potential and boost the local economy.
