KAJIAN ESTETIKA STRUKTUR KABEL PADA ATAP BANGUNAN AMFITEATER GARUDA WISNU KENCANA BALI
Abstract
The Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) amphitheater is a building that reflects the richness of Indonesian culture and art, with a cable structure for its roof. This research explores the correlation between the cable structure and the architectural form and aesthetics of the GWK Bali amphitheater. A qualitative descriptive method is used to analyze the use and aesthetics of the cable structure. The cable structure at GWK serves as a support element while contributing significantly to its artistic and design characteristics. It provides flexibility, and durability, and allows for open spaces without columns, creating a visually stunning experience. The design harmonizes with the theme of Indonesian art and natural beauty, making the cable structure essential in blending the beauty of Indonesian art and culture into a modern and functional architectural design.
