FLOODABLE PARK BERBASIS KONSEP SPONGE CITY SEBAGAI SOLUSI PENGELOLAAN AIR DAN RUANG REKREASI DI UNIVERSITAS UDAYANA
Abstract
Flooding has become a significant issue around the Bypass Ngurah Rai Jimbaran area up to Jalan Raya Universitas Udayana. With a design area of 1,800 m², the "Floodable Park" concept based on Sponge City principles is proposed as an innovative solution. This design integrates rainwater management functions with multifunctional green open spaces that support recreational and educational activities. The utilization of open spaces within the strategically located campus is expected to reduce surface runoff, enhance environmental quality, and provide social and academic benefits. This study focuses on site analysis, land potential, and the implementation of sustainability concepts through adaptive design elements in response to climate change.
