Abstract

This study examines the application of architectural analogy to The Keranjang Bali, a souvenir center in Bali that represents the integration of traditional values and modernity. Through a qualitative approach, this study explores the concept and principles of architectural analogy implemented in the building design. The main focus is on how the building adapts the symbolism and aesthetic elements of the traditional Balinese basket into an architectural context. The analysis is conducted through direct observation and study of related literature. The results show that the application of architectural analogy is seen from the use of shapes, textures, and materials that resemble baskets, interpreted in a modern way. This research provides insight into how architecture can be a medium to maintain cultural identity in the era of globalization. The findings are expected to inspire architectural designs that are rooted in tradition but still relevant to today's needs and aesthetics.
