PERANCANGAN SEKOLAH LUAR BIASA TUNA NETRA DENGAN PENDEKATAN BIOFILIK DI KOTA DENPASAR
Abstract
Blind people are the condition of a person who experiences disturbances or obstacles in his sight. Based on the level of impairment, blind people are divided into two, namely total blindness and those who still have residual vision (low vision). In Denpasar City, there are only 376 people with visual impairments in Denpasar and there are already Bali SLB such as SLB-A Dria Raba Denpasar City and SLB-A Tabanan Regency but these facilities are inadequate because several schools in terms of appearance and function of the building can it is said that it is still lacking in accommodating school facilities for the blind. Based on its function, the School for the Blind (SLB-A) in Denpasar City uses the basic concepts of Educative, Constructive, and Creative which means educating and building proper facilities and accessibility so that blind children have the ability for the best skills. The design theme for the Planning and Design of Special Schools for the Blind will use Biophilic Architecture which can adapt a healthy environment to architectural developments and the conditions of blind children.
