This study employs a descriptive qualitative method and focused on case study in Tabanan Regency. Interviews were conducted with 20 respondent. The findings reveal that land-use conversion is critical issue requiring firm action and strong collaboration among the government, private sector, and farmer as landowners. The study continues to utilize a descriptive qualitative approach, with its scope confined to the Tabanan Regency area. Various alternatives and solution have been developed to mitigate land-use conversion, one of which is agrotourism. This approach is anticipated to support the sustainability of agricultural land while strengthening the local economy. Its holistic approach integrates land conversion issues, farmer welfare, agritourism, and government policies to devise sustainable solutions for regions experiencing significant land-use changes, such as Tabanan Regency.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ojs.unr.ac.id/index.php/widyapublika/article/view/1417ANALYSIS OF PRO-POOR GROWTH ON POVERTY IN SOUTH SUMATRA2025-07-08T06:19:02+00:00Daniel Cristoverdanielcristover23@students.unnes.ac.idJeanne Aleysia Satrianijeannesatriani1401@students.unnes.ac.idAnandhita Siregarvousdhitayez@students.unnes.ac.idZaskia Kurnia Natasyhazaskiacaca927@students.unnes.ac.id
Poverty plays a critical role in shaping the economic development of a region, as it directly affects income distribution and access to resources. In South Sumatra, for example, while poverty declined from 2017 to 2022, the region’s economic growth showed signs of stagnation. The Gini coefficient, which measures income inequality, remained largely unchanged during this period, raising concerns about the inclusivity of the growth. This paradox prompted the author to conduct a study to explore the relationship between economic growth and poverty alleviation in South Sumatra and to determine whether the region's growth could be classified as "Pro-Poor." Specifically, the study aimed to assess the Pro-Poor Growth (PPG) level in South Sumatra’s economy from 2017 to 2022, while also testing classical assumptions related to poverty reduction. Panel data from 17 districts in South Sumatra were collected and analyzed over the five-year period. The findings revealed that the impact of economic growth on poverty reduction was less significant than anticipated. The Pro-Poor Growth indicator (IGP) largely showed insignificant results, indicating that economic growth during this period did not translate effectively into poverty alleviation. These findings highlight the need for more targeted policies to ensure that growth benefits reach the poorer segments of society and address the structural challenges preventing more inclusive growth in South Sumatra.

2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ojs.unr.ac.id/index.php/widyapublika/article/view/1418NAGARI FOREST MANAGEMENT AS A MEANS OF FOREST CONFLICT RESOLUTION IN NAGARI SUNGAI BULUAH2025-07-08T06:19:02+00:00Tamrin TamrinTamrin@gmail.comAfrizal Afrizalafrizal@soc.unand.ac.idRudi Febriamansyahrudifebri@gmail.comAsrinaldi Asrinaldiasrinaldi@soc.unand.ac.id
This research starts from the problem of forest management between forest conservation objectives and socio-economic utilization objectives. The ideological conflict between the two approaches can be overcome through management of property rights and access to forest resource utilization. One of these efforts is carried out by the government through the implementation of social forestry policies. Social forestry policy in Indonesia also contains conflicts due to the scope of forests and the historical facts of forest management which are different between Java and outside Java, such as in social forestry management in Nagari Sungai Buluah. Departing from the problems above, this research aims, among others; (1) explain social forestry management as a means of resolving customary forest conflicts; (2) explaining Nagari forest management as a means of improving the social and economic welfare of the community and as a means of nature conservation. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The research location is the Nagari Sungai Buluah, from the results of the research conducted, it was found that there are subjective and objective conflicts in social forestry management. The nagari expansion policy changes the form of conflict from objective to subjective in the nagari government's relationship with traditional institutions. Guided by the Tri Hita Karana philosophy, the village promotes harmony between humans, nature, and the divine. While the development of art and culture-based tourism has adopted collaborative governance principles, its implementation remains suboptimal. Based on Ansell and Gash's (2008) Collaborative Governance Theory, initial collaboration was marked by face-to-face dialogue involving stakeholders such as the village government, tourism office, Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Group), and the community. The village government supports Pokdarwis through its roles as facilitator, educator, representative, and technical implementer. Despite shared commitments to community training and business development, challenges persist due to limited infrastructure, insufficient human resources, and lack of public awareness regarding Pokdarwis programs. Although initiatives such as traditional house villages, historical temples, and cultural activities are in place, their impact remains limited. Supporting factors include strong communication and cooperation between key actors, while inhibiting factors involve low community participation, limited funding, and inadequate human capital quality.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##
