PENERAPAN URBAN LANDSCAPE SEBAGAI PUSAT KOTA DI LAPANGAN PUPUTAN BADUNG

Abstract

The rapid growth rate of the urban population will have an impact on urban ecology such as the availability of water, clean air, and greening. This has also resulted in high demand for land in the city center. Urban Landscape is one of the concepts that can overcome problems due to development. The application of the concept of Urban Landscape as the city center can be seen in Puputan Badung Field which is viewed from urban landscape elements. The purpose of this study is to find out the picture of the Puputan Badung field and also the application of urban landscape which is reviewed through 6 landscape elements by Booth. By using qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach, data collection is collected through observation and recording directly to the place of the research object. The results showed that Puputan Badung Field can be categorized as an urban landscape in the city center that seeks to improve the quality of life of residents and provide comfort in urban areas.
