Dinamika Inklusi Keuangan Digital dan Implikasinya terhadap Pemberdayaan UMKM di Kota Denpasar

Abstract

Digital transformation has accelerated financial inclusion, particularly for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). However, the utilization of digital financial services does not always translate into effective business empowerment, especially in dynamic urban contexts. The main issue addressed in this study is the limited understanding of how digital financial inclusion is perceived and utilized by MSMEs as an empowerment mechanism rather than merely as financial access. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of digital financial inclusion and its implications for MSME empowerment in Denpasar City. A qualitative descriptive-exploratory approach was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, limited observation, and document analysis involving MSME actors who use digital financial services. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis simultaneously with data collection. The findings indicate that digital financial inclusion is perceived as an important tool for improving transaction efficiency and financial management. However, the extent to which it contributes to MSME empowerment is strongly influenced by digital financial literacy, user experience, and the local social and business environment. This study concludes that digital financial inclusion is a dynamic and contextual process that depends not only on technological access but also on the cognitive capacity of entrepreneurs and the support of the surrounding ecosystem.
